The best way to start Mountain Biking and discover why Madeira is one of the leading destinations for Mountain Bike riding in Europe, Bike Experience is a set of three beginner tours.
For Bike Experience we don´t need you to have any kind of experience with Mountain Biking, you just need to know how to ride a bike.
Adaptable and personalized tour in order to improve your first MTB experience, and lasts about 4-5 hours more or less 35-45km long, mostly downhill.
If the weather allows we can start the tour at the 3rd highest mountain of the island Pico do Arieiro 1818m if not we start the tour from Poiso 1400m a tour accompanied by magnificent views, with the right to stop for photos... The tour passes through roads, fire roads and single tracks, and finishes at Santo da Serra if the group wants to continue we can add more extra Km´s and finish at sea level in Machico.
Suitable for : Active people in good health condition that understand how a Bike Works.
Starts at Vale Paraíso, middle of Levada da Serra do Faial( water channel ), from there we ride the levada through the eucalyptus forest of Camacha on a flat and long section until we reach Santo da Serra, a good place for a quick rest, then we continue the Tour until we reach our last stop at Portela, where we have one of the most beautiful views of the northern coast Porto da Cruz and Faial.
Extra :if the group wants to continue we can add more extra Km´s and finish at sea level in Machico.
